One of my better “bubble gum” tunes. I still think it has a good groove after all these years!

When I lived in NYC I was driving in the Bronx and saw a graffiti tag on a building that just said “Love Makes Me”. An intriguing but incomplete statement I thought. I asked myself “what does love make me”? So, I came up with this for a young Nickelodeon girl demographic. Notice how dated the lyric is. As far as I know, there are no more “candy stores” out there so how about “cell phone store”?. LOL.

A famous manager by the name of Stan Bernstein (who's partner Sid was the promoter who brought the Beatles to NYC), who’s clients included the Young Rascals, Laura Branigan, among others) liked the demo and tried shopping it to Disney and others, but to no avail.

Heather “P-Nut” McMahan came up with the fresh, youthful vocal. Nice job Heather.

Special thanks to master recording engineer Al Dusel for re-creating the original tracks that were lost.
